Jung typology for Personality test analyzer
According to Carl Jung theory each person is not only individuality, but also the representative of the certain type. There is nothing insulting in it as there is nothing limiting the person individuality in an accessory to a man or to a female. The typology does not cancel all variety of human characters. Within the scope of psychological types it does not establish insuperable barriers, does not prevent development.
Carl Jung defined four orientations towards the world, and four functions or basic mental processes.
Four orientations towards the world
Extraversion (E), Introversion (I) and Judging (J), Perceiving (P).
Extraversion is a transposition of interest outside, from the subject to object. Introversion is the reference of interest inside. It is wrong to identify Extraversion and Introversion with a degree of sociability and isolation of the person as it frequently occurs. Sociability and isolation in these concepts far not the main thing. Person's sociability can be based on interest to people (extraversion), or on interest to useful and attractive information (introversion). In the first case the person will be guided by a principle — dialogue for the sake of dialogue, or for the sake of common causes, in the second it will communicate for the sake of reception of useful knowledge. There are not pure extraverts, or pure introverts in the world. Each of us is more inclined to one of these definitions and operates mainly in its frameworks.
Judgment and perception are the two preferences that relate to how one likes to live one's life. Judging is the preference that relates to living a planned and organized life, while perceiving refers to the preference for living in a more spontaneous and flexible way.
Four functions or basic mental processes
Attending preferences: Sensing (S) and Intuition (N)
Deceding preferences: Thinking (T) and Feeling (F)
There are two ways we collect information. Sensing relates to the preference for paying attention to information that is perceived directly through the five senses, and for focusing on what actually exists. Intuition refers to the preference for paying attention to information that is taken in through a “sixth sense”, and for noticing what might or could be rather than what actually exists.
There are two ways we make decisions. Thinking is the preference that relates to organizing and structuring information to decide in a logical and objective way. Feeling is related to the preference for organizing and structuring information to decide in a personal, subjective, values oriented way. According to it there are 16 distinct personality types:
