Super-Ego Relationships

These are relationships of respect to each other. Partners visualize one another as distant and somewhat mysterious ideal. Each parther is interested in manners and views of another side, but they are cold to each other.

If there is no interesting conversation topic for both partners, communication is rather formal. Each one wants to express his/her point of view more than to listen to a partner. Partners usually express respect and interest to each other at first steps of contact. When their interactions become more close they experience problems. The nature of relationship takes a new, an unpleasant side. In words, an understanding usually remains good, especially when matching subtypes. In fact, each one thinks that the partner tries to do everything wrong. Such partners do not like to explain their intentions to each other, and their actions look like partner does the opposite of what you expect from him. It can lead to considerable debate. Inner predisposition to the partner is not disappearing. Hope that the ideal still achievable, is not lost.

Extraversion-introversion of partners also has strong effect on these relations. If both partners are extroverts, one generally dissatisfied with the other because the other partner pays little attention to him, too busy with secondary matters. If both of them are introverts, one partner usually thinks that the other is too intrusive, does not leave him alone. In all cases there are misunderstandings and quarrels when patrners have close contact.
